Mathematics minor
A mathematics minor consists of a minimum of 18 credits in that particular discipline and requires one 1000-level course and two 3000- and/or 4000-level courses. The remainder may be chosen from current discipline course offerings at any level and are determined by the student and academic advisor.
Mathematics Minor Course Options
One 1000-level course to be chosen from:
- Trigonometry
- College Mathematics
- College Mathematics II
- Precalculus
And
- Calculus I
Choose four courses from the following. At least 2 must be 3000-level:
- Mathematics Throughout History
- Statistics
- Statistics for the Social Sciences
- Communications in Mathematics
- Linear Algebra
- Statistics and Research
- Modern Geometry
- Abstract Algebra
- Techniques of Calculus II
- Differential Equations
- Number Theory
- Probability
